Wednesday, 13 June 2012

Valuable data about Christchurch's population movements and spending is being presentated at an upcoming business seminar.

The seminar is part of a series of luncheon events run by the Marketing Association.  It is being held on 28 June at midday at The George Hotel.  Speaking at the event will be Recover Canterbury's Bridget Frame, who will share insights from recently completed research which covers Christchurch's population and spending data.

"This kind of information is going to be invaluable for businesses, as it will give them up-to-date data about where Christchurch's population has gone and breaks down spending data by category and suburb.  For a business looking to reconnect with their customer base or a looking at where to relocate to, this kind of information is gold," says Ms Frame.

The research has been carried out by NZ Post and includes the BNZ's MarketView data.

Also speaking at the luncheon event will be Mary Devine from Ballantynes.  Mary is one of New Zealands foremost business women, an experienced and accomplished CEO renowned for her expertise in corporate strategy, change management and marketing. Mary will share how Ballantynes adapted to the changes and what steps they took to secure alternative access for customers. Most importantly, Mary will share what Ballantynes learnt and what opportunities were created.
